Upturn Industries, Inc. was founded in 1983 and developed into a precision CNC contract machine shop. When first opened there were 3 employees; the 2 owners Sherwood (Skip) Enck, Donna L. Enck and a machinist. Sherwood Enck was a Manufacturing Engineer, retired from the Bendix Corporation in Sidney, NY. With his 20+ years of experience in the Aerospace Industry and Donna's years of experience in the administrative and accounting fields, Quality Standards were established that are second to none and are still enforced today.Now, over 20 years later, Upturn Indistries has grown to over 40 employees and in 2001 moved into their new, state-of-the-art plant in Bainbridge, NY.After Sherwood retired in 2001, Donna L. Enck became sole owner of Upturn Industries, Inc. and continues the tradition of excellence.
In 2012, Long time employee Michael Horoszewski purchased Upturn Industries from Donna Enck. Mike started working at Upturn Industries in 1996 on second shift as a lathe operator/programmer. He worked his way up through the ranks learning the different aspects of the business and in 2002 Michael was promoted from Team Leader to Shop Supervisor and then to Plant Manager in 2005. Michael spent 6 years in the U.S Army from 1989 - 1995 and is the sole owner of the company. The Upturn team will continue to provide second to none performance for many years to come.
